Peter Andrew

President & CEO

Peter brings more than a decade of insurance industry experience to his leadership responsibilities at CS Plus; and currently holds licenses for Life, Health, Property and Casualty in Louisiana, Tennessee and New York.  He is a frequent speaker on issues such as employee benefits and risk management.  Mr. Andrew has contributed to and been quoted on, insurance issues in The Chronicle of Philanthropy, the Fleet Nonprofit Advisor and the Nonprofit Risk Management Center’s e-newsletter and Guidestar’s e-newsletter and the New York Nonprofit Press.

 

Kay Bassey

Kay Bassey, Office Manager, is a licensed New York State Property and Casualty broker. She is pleased to serve Council of CCSNYS members with their insurance needs. Whether you are a new member looking for Directors & Officers Liability or General Liability and Property insurance or long standing members needing renewal quotes, binders and policies or just some assistance in regard to payments Kay will facilitate the process to ensure that you obtain the coverage you need to protect your organization.

 

Debbie Hibbard

Debbie Hibbard joined the CS Plus team in 2004. Her background includes eight years previous work experience in the insurance field. Among other responsibilities, Debbie’s primary focus is to provide quality customer service to our CCSNYS members, like you, specifically with Directors & Officers Liability Insurance coverage. She is always glad to help with any questions you may have during the application, quote or binding process regarding your D&O policy renewal. Or, perhaps this is your first submission for a new policy quote; she looks forward to fielding your questions about the application process or required attachments. Eric Laughlin

Eric began working for CS Plus in February 2008 as our Marketing Associate. He recently became a licensed life and health insurance broker. In his current role, he helps promote our mission and vision of providing affordable insurance solutions to New York State's nonprofit community. In addition, he assists new and existing CCSNYS members with quotes for various insurance programs. Eric holds a Bachelors degree from SUNY Albany and prior to coming on board with CS Plus, served as the Health Insurance Bookkeeper for CCSNYS and helped to reconcile the administered health, dental, life and FSA plans offered by CCSNYS.

 

Andrew Marietta

As our Licensed Associate based in the CCSNYS Central New York office located in Oneonta, Andrew is a resource for nonprofit insurance questions and concerns in Central New York. He is a licensed P&C broker in the State of New York. Andrew will work to assist your nonprofit with any insurance question, including evaluating your current coverage, offering educational assistance, and brokering your insurance products. He can assist your nonprofit with general liability, D&O, employee benefits, among any other insurance products

 

Heather Moyer

Customer Service Coordinator

Heather Moyer recently joined CS Plus in October of 2007.  As Customer Service Coordinator, she provides service support to members who already have health, life, dental, or disability insurance contracts.  She also facilitates annual renewals and provides new plan proposals when requested.  Heather will assist our clients with regulatory and industry related inquiries that affect employee benefits.  In addition, she is responsible for the production of the CS Plus newsletter and the maintenance of our website.

 

Jenny Sardi

Benefits Specialist

Jenny Sardi has worked for CS Plus and its clinets since 2003. As the Benefits Specialist at Council Services Plus, Jenny assists agencies that want to change or add a new line of employee benefits insurance, such as health, dental, vision, life, long term and short-term disability insurances. As a licensed Health Insurance Broker in NYS, she can help you to determine if the Consumer Driven Health plans will work for your agency, discuss all of your benefit options and put together proposals for a complete package of benefits or just one individual line of insurance. Jenny can be a resource for understanding the regulatory issues that affect employee benefits such as the New York State Community Rating Laws, COBRA and State Continuation of Coverage, and the statutory lines of insurance.

 

Judie Van Avery

Bookkeeper

Judie has held the position of the bookkeeper for Council Services Plus since 2003. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and has 25 years of accounting experience which includes hands on knowledge of the nonprofit community. As the bookkeeper her responsibilities are internal and behind the scenes. Judie handles accounts payable, accounts receivable, certain billing items and preparation of the financial statement. Judie says, that “The most rewarding part of my job is that I provide information to those who provide you customer service so that they can concentrate their efforts on bringing quality service to you, our value customer”.
